Graduate Software Engineer

Working as a Graduate in FINEOS provides an excellent opportunity for you to acquire practical, real-world software engineering experience while working in one of our SCRUM teams, creating products that meet market needs.

Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Software development, building products that make a difference on insurance market.
• Work on cross-functional projects, directly collaborating with other engineers
• Usage in an array of tools and technologies (Java, Docker, React, AWS, Gradle, Jenkins, Git)
• Ensuring product quality as part of Continuous Integration and end-to-end solution testing.
• Collaboration with your SCRUM team and teams in other locations to effectively plan, estimate and do your work.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.

Education and/or Experience

• Relevant higher education
• Java experience, preferably in web applications (back-end, front-end, SOAP, REST, you tell us)
• Knowledge on relational databases
• Experience from either previous internships or working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects (in a university or professional setting)
• Demonstrated AI literacy, including familiarity with AI concepts and the ability to use AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and solve development challenges.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and form an understanding of those systems, through independent research and working with a mentor and subject matter experts 

Language Skills

• Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
