Summary
FINEOS is looking a Lead Test Engineer, to be part of our highly skilled Product Consultancy team, working on FINEOS AdminSuite and New Business and Underwriting implementation projects. Assigned to one of our Product implementations teams, working in conjunction with our customers, you will verify customer specific extensions and configuration to our core FINEOS AdminSuite and New Business and Underwriting products. Verify web service integrations and solution upgrades. You will be responsible for the Solution configuration Master test and maintenance plans, ensuring that customers solution configuration verification activities, are in accordance with FINEOS best practice guidelines. You will be designing and executing test cases both automated and manual as well as providing test consultancy to our customers on how to verify FINEOS product solutions and mentoring of more junior test engineers.
The role provides you the opportunity to further your career as a lead test engineer through providing the opportunity to take test analysis, design and maintenance ownership and responsibilities for specific customers implementations.

FINEOS are looking for experienced Senior Test Engineers who have excellent test design, both automated and manual skills with extensive knowledge of how to verify solution configurations in accordance to FINEOS best practice test guidelines and frameworks. Lead test engineers must have the drive to take on the ownership and responsibility for the test strategies, designs and quality assurance for customer implementations. As a lead test Engineer, you must have an aptitude for considering the bigger picture, the knowledge to consider all options, the innovation to select the best solution, and the determination to take the solution to completion, while maintaining a focus on delivering quality and value to the customer solutions assigned to you.
As part of this position, we will be looking for excellent communication and test estimation skills.
In this role you will be
· Reporting to the Product implementation team lead and working as a member of a Product implementation team you will have responsibilities for specific customers solution configurations test strategies and verification activities from a FINEOS perspective.
· Interacting with internal and external customers of the organisation, to clarify solution configuration requirement acceptance criteria, define Solution test strategies for assigned customers solutions.
· Work closely with the Lead Technical and Business Consultants to review requirements.
· Solution implementation master test plans for multi customer/project implementations.
· Solution feature description acceptance criteria design reviews and breakdown into technical user story acceptance criteria designs that are in accordance with FINEOS guidelines
· Test quality assurance responsibilities for assigned customer implementations.
· Test troubleshooting support of complex solution issues for assigned customers.
· Test support to test engineers and business consultants assigned to your customer solutions.
· Test case design based on Solution requirements, Epics, Feature and User Story acceptance criteria.
Education and/or Experience
· 5+ years’ experience testing software product or implementations, preferably insurance based. At least 3 of these should be as a Senior Test Engineer.
· Test script creation and execution, primarily covering UI, Workflow, Solution Integration, Functional, maintenance and Regression testing.
· Develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts using Java Selenium WebDriver/Framework and Webdriverio
· Liaise with Client Test Leads & Client Test Team as required for assigned customers.
· Provide input to the planning, resourcing, scheduling and monitoring of project test tasks and activities for Agile and Mainstream projects
· Customer test interface and support for outsourcing partners.
· Provide detailed test planning and tracking information to Scrum Masters, Product implementation team leads and Project management
· Promote and live the FINEOS values and increase positive relations with team, customers, prospects and partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision, relied upon for critical tasks.
· Mentoring of less experienced staff where appropriate e.g. test best practices, peer review of test designs, and automation scripts.
· Ability to identify, deliver and drive improvements and innovations within the test area.
· Compile and review test estimates around all technical aspects of solution relating to the customers assigned to you.
Technical Skills
- Automated software testing design and script writing experience, preferably in an end user testing of enterprise thin client software applications.
- Experience using Java Selenium WebDriver and SoapUI a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools like Junit, TestNG, Cucumber, Watir, Appium, JMeter, a distinct advantage.
- Experience with Java or a scripting language, a distinct advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows
Language Skills
- Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Travel Requirements
This position does not require travel on a regular basis. However candidate should be flexible to travel domestic or international should a rare need for travel arises.
