Systems Administrator

 

FINEOS Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Systems Administrator, based in Dublin. This role will involve working as part of the IT Operations team, supporting all levels of IT issues worldwide within a continually expanding IT systems environment. It will also involve managing, monitoring, maintaining some of our key systems and ensuring end users remain compliant within existing IT Policies.

The post holder will be required to demonstrate exceptional organisational and management skills, possess strong technical and problem-solving skills and be fully customer focused. The ability to communicate and foster good working relationships internally and externally is crucial to this role.

Responsibilities:

  • This role is very much "hands on" and will comprise of mainly systems and software support and administration across multiple FINEOS sites.
  • Although the role will be primarily focused on 1st and 2nd line support the ideal candidate should also be proficient in O365 with extensive knowledge in the management of various communications platforms (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Management of Azure and AzureAD is a must and experience with Windows Virtual Desktop infrastructure.
  • Working experience of Commvault is highly desirable.
  • The role requires significant problem-solving skills which will involve liaising with internal and / or support personnel and with other organizations such as customers and suppliers.
  • Mainly working with Windows and Backoffice applications including (but not limited to) Windows Server 2019 / 22 / 25, Active Directory administration, Windows 10 / 11 desktop troubleshooting, Office365 suite, IP Networks basics.
  • The role will entail a lot of direct interaction with FINEOS staff worldwide and requires the ability to deal with support issues in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
  • Working within a VMware virtual environment the ideal candidate will have experience of VMware 7 (and above).
  • Active participation and input into various IT projects.

 

Technical Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience of most of the following:

  • Win 10 / Win 11 - Desktop
  • 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025 – Server / Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP management
  • Backup procedures and related methodologies with a working knowledge of Commvault highly desirable.
  • Experience of the full Microsoft 365 suite and overall management essential

(to include underlying security principles)

  • Experience of Exchange / M365 / EntraID end user administration essential
  • Server / Laptop hardware troubleshooting & configurations
  • Experience with DELL hardware preferred.
  • SAN / NAS experience (Pure Storage)
  • SCCM / WSUS / AutoPilot / InTune management
  • Security
  • Familiarity with Linux / Apple / Android systems and related technologies
  • Manage and maintain security policies and procedures to safeguard systems and data.
  • Address vulnerabilities and ensure systems comply with best practices and regulations.
  • Corporate Antivirus / EDR management
  • ISO27001 / SOC2 experience
  • Azure Technology stack
  • Ability to Automate and Script procedures (PowerShell, CLI, PowerCLI)
  • Experience with various networking technologies – (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, VPN, Wi-Fi Networks)
  • VMware / Hyper-V virtualization experience
  • Knowledge / experience of VoIP Technologies (preferably Microsoft Teams)
  • Knowledge of Unix /Linux desirable

 

Professional Experience:

  • Ideally the candidate must have at least 5+ years’ relevant experience in supporting and troubleshooting mainly Microsoft products / operating systems.
  • Proven problem-solving ability in IT support including hardware, software and networking is essential.
  • Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and on one’s own initiative, as well as being an active and contributing part of a team.
  • Ability to pick up new concepts quickly.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Information Technology Industry certification a distinct advantage e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat, VMware, etc.
