Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of our highly skilled Product Consulting team, working on FINEOS AdminSuite projects. Assigned to one of our Product implementation teams, working in conjunction with our customer’s you will develop customer specific extensions and configuration to our core FINEOS AdminSuite. You will develop web service integrations and implement solution upgrades. You will be responsible for the Solution configuration design and maintenance, ensuring that customers solution configuration designs, are in accordance with FINEOS best practice guidelines. You will be writing Java JavaScript and SQL software as well as providing development consultancy to our customers on how to implement FINEOS product solutions and mentoring of more junior developers.
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

Reporting to the Product implementation team lead and working as a member of a Product implementation team you will have technical ownership of specific customers solution configurations developments.

Interacting with internal and external customers of the organization, to clarify requirements, designs and develop solutions for assigned customers.

Work closely with the Technical and Business Consultants to review requirements.

Solution implementation design for multi customer/project implementations.

Solution feature description design reviews and breakdown into technical user story designs that are in accordance with FINEOS guidelines

Code Quality assurance responsibilities for assigned customer implementations.

Troubleshooting of complex solution issues for assigned customers.

Technical support to SW developers and business consultants assigned to your customer solutions.

Project Software and configuration development.
-
Customer technical interface and support for outsourcing System Integration partners.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision, relied upon for critical tasks.

Mentoring less experienced staff where appropriate e.g. development best practices, peer review of designs, code and tests.

Working effectively with Test lead engineers to resolve open issues in an efficient manner.

Ability to identify, deliver and drive improvements and innovations within the development area.

Compile and review estimates around all technical aspects of solution relating to the customers assigned to you.

Ensure all aspects of good design and construction are delivered, including:

Performance, scalability and security

Modularity, interoperability and upgradability

Work with peers within the client organization to ensure a successful delivery

Provide detailed planning and tracking information to Scrum Masters, Product implementation leads and Project management

Work closely with Solution Architects for direction and compliance

Build, publish and deploy FINEOS solutions both in house and within FINEOS cloud.

Advanced Troubleshooting of FINEOS solutions

Promote and live the FINEOS values and increase positive relations with team, customers, prospects and partners.
Education and/or Experience
-
6+ years’ experience with FINEOS software product development or implementations.

Minimum 5 years’ experience developing web-based Java applications and web service integrations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Indept knowledge of FINEOS Adminsuite functionality and Implementation patterns.
Technical Skills

Strong JAVA development skills
-
including J2EE technologies such as:

JSP, JMS, JNDI, Javascript, REACT.

XML and JSON related technologies

Application servers: JBOSS, Tomcat

Databases: Oracle

Development Tools:, Gradle/Groovy, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Junit, Eclipse, Subversion/GIT

Experience using one or more of the following middleware and integration technologies: SOAP (over HTTPS/JMS), REST,

Experience of working with AWS Cloud technologies.
Language Skills

Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Travel Requirements
This position requires no more that 5% of time .
