Summary

The role requires knowledge and experience of Test Analysis and Design of complex features. Test automation experience is required; Selenium WebDriver experience is an advantage. As FINEOS is moving to a SaaS solution, the position will involve working with test environments based in Cloud, using Amazon Web Service platforms. Exposure to Cloud-specific Test Strategies is also an advantage.
In addition, the role will include validating features that leverage AI capabilities, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance in AI-driven workflows.
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Work within a Scrum team to ensure successful delivery, based on definition of done for features and user stories.
- Attend daily Scrum meetings and regular retrospectives and demonstrations.
- Participate and contribute to regular innovation-focused cycles.
- Participate within the wider Test Community of Practice and attend regular discussions and presentations related to QA.
- Test Analysis and Design based on feature documents and other supporting documentation.
- Validate AI-driven features for accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
- Test creation and execution, based on industry best practices and experience covering Functional, End-to-End, UI, Workflow, Non-Functional, Maintenance, and Regression testing performed on Cloud-based and on-premise environments.
- Automation of test cases based on best practice guidelines and FINEOS standards using Java Selenium WebDriver/Framework performed on Cloud-based and on-premise environments.
- Manual test execution using a mix of scripted and non-scripted (exploratory) testing.
- Test & Defect Tracking based on Agile best practice.
- Liaise with other Scrum Teams, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, System Support teams, and Clients to ensure successful delivery.
- Represent the client, with a focus on functional and non-functional testing with UX central to successful delivery.
- Provide input to the planning, resourcing, scheduling, and monitoring of project test tasks and activities for Agile projects.
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues and suggest solutions/workarounds.
- Demonstrate features at Sprint and PI level.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to team members.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance the Test Process and improve overall Quality Assurance practices.
- Contribute to evolving strategies via inspect and adapt, communities of practice, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Test Engineer working preferably within web-based applications and integrations.
- Experience of Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe).
- Insurance business experience and knowledge a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate in Software Testing or an equivalent qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of working directly with Client Leads.
- Ability to multitask, use own initiative, and work to tight deadlines.
- Exposure to AI testing tools or techniques is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience Testing Webservices and APIs (using Postman, SOAPUI, or similar).
- Exposure to Continuous Integration and build automation tools such as Gradle, Jenkins, Nexus would be an advantage.
- Exposure to code analysis such as Sonar, PMD/Findbugs would be an advantage.
- IT background in the insurance sector would be an advantage.
- Multi-platform skills (Linux/Unix/Windows) would be an advantage.
- Experience/exposure to AWS or other Cloud technologies desirable.
- Knowledge of Cloud Testing strategies.
- Experience with Python for AI/ML testing would be an advantage.
- Strong Test Analysis/troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance work processes and support informed decision-making is essential, with strict adherence to the organisation’s security, data protection, and ethical use policies.
Technical Skills
- Experience Testing Webservices and APIs (using Postman, SOAPUI, or similar).
- Automated software testing design and script writing experience, preferably in end-user testing of enterprise thin client software applications.
- Experience using Java Selenium WebDriver.
- Knowledge of testing tools like SoapUI, Junit, TestNG.
- Experience with at least one scripting language.
- Experience with BDD Testing.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration and build automation tools such as Gradle, Jenkins, Nexus would be an advantage.
- Exposure to code analysis such as Sonar, PMD/Findbugs would be an advantage.
- Multi-platform skills (Linux/Unix/Windows) would be an advantage.
- Experience/exposure to AWS or other Cloud technologies desirable.
- Knowledge of Cloud Testing strategies.
- Experience with Python for AI/ML testing would be an advantage
- Practical knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server) and ability to write and run basic SQL queries as part of test verification.
Language Skills
• Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Travel Requirements

Work Requirements
