Summary 

The VP of Product Management for the FINEOS AdminSuite product suite is responsible for leading the Product Management team to develop solutions for policy administration, billing, member management, and underwriting.  

This role will work closely with Sales and Account management in support of new business and upsell opportunities.  This will include presenting the FINEOS AdminSuite solution to clients and prospects, collaborating with marketing on sales collateral, and being a thought leader & advocate for FINEOS.  

Additionally, this role will work closely with FINEOS clients through implementation and after to drive collaboration and understanding of the FINEOS AdminSuite product vision.  In addition, you will work as a liaison between clients, prospects, and the internal product team to facilitate collaboration and prioritization of product requests and needs.   

The VP, Product Management also works closely with product operations, engineering, and product consulting teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. Their role involves defining the product vision, understanding market challenges, and developing a roadmap to address them, as well as building and leading a team to execute the plan. 

 

Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.) 

 

  • Evangelize the vision for the product suite. Work with the sales team, marketing communications, and executive leadership for customer relationship management, sales enablement, and marketing activities. 
  • Collaborate with clients and prospects on product requests and new market opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with product leadership to develop the long-term vision & roadmap for FINEOS Policy, Billing, and New Business and Underwriting, including Actuarial Rating. 
  • Effectively communicate across the organization regarding the value and strategy behind the Policy Administration, Billing, and Member Management product roadmap 
  • Provide leadership/mentorship to team and other stakeholders through the product delivery lifecycle. 
  • Evaluate opportunities and determine what gets built and delivered to customers. Make sure that what goes on the product backlog is worth building. 
  • Become an acknowledged expert on the customer: , by Using both qualitative and quantitative learning to understand customers and how they use our products. 
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand and follow key trends in our market, competition, technology, and customer expectations and behaviors and understand the ecosystem and how our products fit. 
  • Use your deep understanding of our industry, our business, and the role our products play to deliver products that propel our strategic direction.  
  • Responsible for understanding key stakeholders and their constraints and deliver products consistent with them. 

 

 Education and Experience 

  • 10+ years’ experience in the Employee Benefits industry, ideally within the Group Insurance domain for Group Life, Disability, Medical, Dental and Voluntary Benefits.  Roles could span working for an Insurance Carrier, Broker, or Third-Party Administrator (TPA). 
  • Product management experience with high complexity enterprise SaaS solutions (ERP, CRM, ITSM, HRM, automation) 
  • Management experience leading teams of 3+ direct reports 
  • Experience leading Agile teams through the complete product management lifecycle, discovery to launch. 
  • Leadership experience with Mission-critical enterprise systems 
  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) (Preferred) 
  • Experience working in Employee Benefits, specifically Group Life, Disability, Voluntary, and Dental products 
  • Experience creating, marketing, or supporting software products in the US Insurance industry 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

 

  • Extensive knowledge of the Employee Benefits industry, specifically Group Life, Disability, Voluntary, and Dental 
  • Proven abilities in Product strategy, roadmap planning, and portfolio development 
  • Effective presentation and communication skills 
  • Significant client facing experience, sales support, and negotiation abilities. 
  • Demonstratable presentation skills, effective communication, and product marketing abilities.  
  • Proficient knowledge of Agile and Scrum Methodologies 
  • Ability to perform market research and competitive analysis 

 

  

Language Skills 

  • Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing. 

 

Travel Requirements 

This position requires up to 30% domestic travel and potential for 5-10% international.

Salary Range160K – 190K
