Summary
As a Scrum Master, you will join our highly skilled Product Consultancy team, working on FINEOS AdminSuite implementation projects. As part of a Professional Services project team, working in conjunction with our customer’s you will take the role of Scrum master responsible for the Scrum team implementing customer specific Solution configurations features and user stories to our core FINEOS AdminSuite product along with developing web service integrations and implementing solution upgrades.
All our Scrum Masters are more than just team facilitators and guardians of the agile ceremonies and practices. Our Scrum master need to understand the technical aspects of work being performed by the scum team and the inter-dependencies between the technical tasks to deliver the defined user stories against the definition of done. Our Scrum Masters work closely and collaborate with, Business and Technical Consultants, Project Managers, Product Engineering and other cross functional team members, adhering to our standards and processes. Our implementation projects generally follow the principles of SAFe Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Facilitate one or more project scrum teams, who are responsible for solution delivery against the definition of done
- Facilitate the project scrum team’s progress toward the release goals and ensure the team is focused on clear goals for each sprint.
- Drive project scrum team backlog refinement and burndown, Scrum team velocity and capacity management, Program increment and sprint estimation, Technical spike and risk management, Program increment, sprint and release planning activities are completed as required and manage technical inter-dependencies outside of your team responsibilities.
- Measure, track and review team deliver and quality, against clearly define definition of done. Team effectiveness and constantly improving the team working practices through retrospectives.
- Escalation point for team issues when they occur, with involvement from PM and Team Leads.
- Contribute to the on-going evolution of the Professional Services development SDLC and release processes. Continually evaluate new tools, procedures and processes for the opportunity to improve and keep pace with an effective development methodology
- Velocity ad capacity management of project scrum teams are achieving targets and improving.
- Promote and live the FINEOS values and increase positive relations with team, customers, prospects and partners.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to client sites when necessary
Education and/or Experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field with 3+ years of hands-on experience, preferably on Enterprise-scale systems.
- 2+ years of technical leadership/coordination, preferably as scrum master or equivalent role.
- Line Management Experience including performance appraisals of direct reports.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field with 3+ years of hands-on experience, preferably on Enterprise-scale systems.
- 2+ years of technical leadership/coordination, preferably as scrum master or equivalent role.
- Line Management Experience including performance appraisals of direct reports.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Technical Skills
- 3+ years of Java, development experience.
- 2+ years of technical leadership/coordination, preferably as scrum master or equivalent role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience developing web based Java applications and web service integrations.
Language Skills
- Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Travel Requirements
- This position does not require travel.
